A video of devotees being mishandled and insulted at Lalbaugcha Raja 2024 by the management has gone viral on Twitter/X

Know more about the devotees who lined up for the darshan of Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai as various celebrities and notable personalities grabbed headlines for praying at Mumbai’s most famous and iconic pandal during the ongoing Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.

For the unversed, on Thursday, a large number of devotees lined up for the darshan of God Ganesh at Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai.

Among these devotees, various prominent personalities were also included, who visited the famous shrine. However, people have been irked by the darshan being allowed to VIP guests with a video going viral on Twitter/X of celebrities being allowed to click pictures infront of the idol whilst normal people are shoved, pushed and slapped on the head by the management as soon as they touch the idol’s foot.


These personalities include the likes of Ayushmann Khurrana and his filmmaker wife Tahira Kashyap, actress Divya Khosla Kumar, and actor RajKummar Rao, who recently enjoyed the success of ‘Stree 2.’

Actor Rajkumar Rao visited the iconic idol on Wednesday with his wife, Patralekhaa. Celebrities like Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, Atlee, and Shilpa Shetty, along with her family, were also seen seeking blessings at the renowned site.

Reportedly, yesterday, various social media personalities, including Bhuvan Bam, Deven Bhojani, and Shriya Pilgaonkar, also visited the iconic pandal.

Amit Shah Also Visited Lalbaugcha Raja

On Monday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accompanied by his wife Sonal Shah, visited Lalbaugcha Raja to offer prayers to Lord Ganesh.

In addition to his visit to the Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai, the Union Home Minister also visited Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s official residence, Varsha Bungalow and the residence of Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.

The iconic Ganesh idol at the Mumbai’s Raja pandal remains a focal point of the festival, attracting thousands of devotees each year.

The first look of this year’s idol was unveiled on September 5, 2024. The festival begins on September 6, will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi, that is on September 17, 2024.

In another update to the celebs visit to the Lalbaugcha Raja, television actor Arjun Bijlani, accompanied by his son, Pavitra Punia and Kanchi also visited the pandal separately to offer their prayers.

Meanwhile, Kumkum Bhagya fame actress Simran Budharup is grabbing headlines after she accused the staff of Lalbaugcha Raja pandal of snatching ‘her mother’s phone.’

Additionally, she also claimed that “when she tried to intervene, the bouncers rough handled me,” while adding that they stopped after being aware of the fact that she is an actress.
