The teacher said, “Earlier, the government promised that the funding issue would be resolved after the governing body had been established with its members, but the issue has not been resolved.

The Delhi government still has control over other Delhi University colleges in addition to Deen Dayal Upadhyay College. In actuality, the Arvind Kejriwal-led administration directly funds a total of 12 DU colleges.

Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA), according to The Times of India, met with Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena to request his urgent assistance in resolving the financial problem. It slammed the Directorate of Higher Education of the Delhi government for lying about the release of money to the aforementioned 12 colleges.

“On Teachers’ Day, teaching and non-teaching staff members have carried out their responsibilities diligently,” lamented DUTA president A K Bhagi. “But the Delhi government has continuously failed for the past few years. To provide the salaries to these employees and has also been unable to construct the basic infrastructure for the students in these 12 colleges.”

Advertising For A Loan Issued To Two students Cost The Delhi Government 19 Crores.

The Delhi government spent 19 crores on advertisements for the “Delhi Higher Education and Skill Development Guarantee Scheme” in 2020–2021. Which benefited only 2 students, while universities run by the Delhi government are struggling to raise money.

This programme was introduced by the AAP administration in 2015. The goal was to offer Delhi students in grades 10th through 12th a loan facility of up to Rs 10 lakh. So they may continue their studies through college.

In the fiscal year 2021–2022, print advertising in the amount of Rs. 46,22,685. And television advertisements in the amount of Rs. 18,81,00,618 were both granted. Though 19.27 crore rupees were spent on advertising the programme, just two students actually benefited from it throughout the fiscal year.
