The Wales fans threw their weight behind goalkeeper Danny Ward as they sang in his support after his own goal
At the end of the day, Leicester City’s Danny Ward had Daniel James to thank for bailing him out against Czech Republic.
After taking the lead through Aaron Ramsey, Wales found themselves back at square one as the hosts restored parity only 90 seconds later. However, the visitors refused to be deterred, going hammer and tongs as they put on an extremely impressive display of attacking football.
Wales Fans Sing In Support Of Danny Ward After His Own Goal vs Czech Republic
Unfortunately for Wales, their hardwork was poured cold water over after shot stopper Danny Ward ended up conceding an own goal. The goal which came shortly after the start of the second half saw Ward completely misjudge an Aaron Ramsey back pass with him ending up bundling the ball into his own net.
Fortunately for him, Daniel James latched onto a Ramsey pass in the 69th minute to see Wales take away a crucial 2-2 draw from Prague. The draw kept Wales’ chances of finishing second in the group alive with Belgium holding a tearaway lead atop of the goal.
Despite his horrific blunder, Ward saw his side’s fans lend unstinted support to him as they chanted his name ensuing the encounter. The moment was one to regale in as the visiting side’s supporters refused to berate their shot stopper.

“He has made some really big saves throughout. These things happen from time to time but I am sure there is nothing to be worried about there. It is one of those things and we are glad he is in goal for us,” Aaron Ramsey said after the contest as he came to his goalkeeper’s defence.
