After taking a few steps, Harshal Patel noticed non-striker Ravi Bishnoi emerging from his crease. Patel attempted to run out the leg spinner in this situation but failed. The umpire then asked the Royal Challengers Bangalore to re-ball the delivery after he attempted to toss the ball back, and LSG went on to score the winning runs.

Nicholas Pooran’s match-winning 19-ball 62 and Marcus Stoinis’ 65 helped Lucknow Super Giants overcome Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket in a nail-biting last-ball contest. Pooran scored the season’s quickest fifty, batting only 15 balls to reach the milestone.
Earlier, Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell all scored half-centuries to help RCB set an impressive total of 212 for two. LSG captain KL Rahul commented about how exciting games were played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. He continued by talking about how he managed to win the game and thanking his lower batting order for being the catalyst for this remarkable triumph.
He stated: “Unbelievable. Only at the Chinnaswamy is it possible to have so many last-ball victories. Given where we were, to come out on top is fantastic. The ball swung early, we had to work hard, and they took 1-2 wickets to put us under pressure. We barely earned two points today because of how our lower order hit.”
He added that he needs to significantly improve because he hasn’t done well for his squad. He stated: “Not ideal for me since I want to increase my run totals and strikeout rate. I moved more slowly because today we lost three wickets and we’ve played on two challenging Lucknow wickets. I wanted to play with Nicky till the very end.”
