Morocco shocked the entire world once more by defeating Portugal in the quarterfinals on Saturday at the Al-Thumama Stadium after shocking Spain in the round of 16. Ronaldo started the second consecutive World Cup game on the bench because Portugal manager Fernando Santos decided to stick with Goncalo Ramos, who had recently scored an astonishing hat trick against Switzerland in the round of 16. Ronaldo was introduced early in the second half to replace Ruben Neves, but not even he could aid Portugal to get an equaliser.
After the loss, Ronaldo was seen crying.
Ronaldo grieved in the tunnel as Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup, but as he went to leave the field, a solitary fan ambushed him. Before being roughed up by security, the fan is seen in the video clip above getting up close and personal with Ronaldo.

After the game, Moroccan Sofyan Amrabat told BBC Radio 5 Live that he was extremely proud of himself and that the game was truly great. They are in the semi-finals, which still seems like a dream. Morocco will now take on the winner of France vs. England on December 14 at the Al-Bayt Stadium in the World Cup semifinals.
