The world of sports in particular has been a testament to this narrative with livid fans losing their marbles after their teams fail to perform as they aspired. The same was on show during a football match in Argentina recently with a coach shot in the shoulder.

The showdown between Huracan Las Heras and Ferro de General Pico saw things turn extremely ugly after Ferro coach was fired upon. The third tier matchup in the Mendoza province saw Mauricio Romero be the victim of the shooting, one which resulted in a gunshot wound to the shoulder for which he was taken to the local hospital.
Fans and players were seen fleeing the premises as well as the shot rung in the air in a bid to seek shelter for themselves.
“Romero is doing well and out of danger. After leaving the stadium he underwent tests in a local hospital and is now giving a statement to police.”
“For years families have been chased from grounds. May all those that harm the club stay away so that the real fans can return,” Ferro said in a statement released by the club in the aftermath of the unsavory incident.
The showdown was eventually suspended as Huracan lead 3-1 on the day in the Federal A League matchup.
