When Punk stepped out in Texas, he was wearing a t-shirt that read, ‘Abortion rights are human rights!’, and announcer Excalibur could be heard applauding him.
Many admirers backed him up for being so direct. And fellow AEW actress Nyla Rose was among those who showered Love with love.
‘I adore Cm Punk… that’s all, for now, #AEWDynamite,’ she tweeted.
Politico revealed a leaked draught opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito earlier this month, arguing that Roe v. Wade was “egregiously erroneous from the outset,” before concluding that “it is time to obey the Constitution. And restore the subject of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
More Details:
If the Supreme Court overturns the landmark 1973 judgment, abortion would no longer be protected as a federal right in the United States. Allowing each state to determine whether to limit or prohibit abortion.
Meanwhile, Wednesday isn’t the first time Punk has made a strong statement on the subject, having previously worn pro-choice t-shirts in Texas.
Earlier this month, he posted a flashback photo of himself on Instagram. Prompting some harsh replies from his fans, including one who asked whether the former world champion was “going to weep little b***h.”
‘A little bit, yeah,’ Punk replied. For my wife, sisters, mothers, and women who are helpless as elite, rich white, terrorist religious fascists take away their rights to their own bodies. Because I am human, I grieve when injustices masquerade as religious freedom. HER BODY, HER DECISION.’
While another follower applauded his wrestling abilities but advised him to stay out of politics. He simply replied, ‘Unfollow me.’ We value women here.’
He did note that he had gotten overwhelmingly good reactions to his initial article. Writing: ‘And for every uneducated kn*b, there are 20 excellent comments.’ ‘Don’t give up!’
