In a video that circulated on social media this week, Finneseth made his playful request, despite Clark being in a relationship with Iowa Hawkeyes guard Connor McCaffery.

In a now-viral videos, Finneseth, a junior at Colorado majoring in Biomedical Engineering, can be seen praising Clark’s outstanding performance on the court. “My girl Caitlin Clark… she’s balling.”
He further added, “She’s doing a great job. I look up to her and all that she’s done for the sport… if she sees this, ‘I’m a great guy. I have the best intentions and yeah, call me.’”

Caitlin Clark’s Boyfriend
Despite his season being cut short due to an injury after just two games, Finneseth has boldly stepped off the field
While the odds of Clark calling him back seem slim, considering her relationship with McCaffery, who is now an assistant coach with the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, Finneseth’s playful confidence has certainly drawn some attention.
Clark and McCaffery were first seen publicly as a couple in April 2023, at a Nuggets-Timberwolves game.
Ben Finneseth’s Performance So Far
Even with this, Finneseth’s mix of confidence and humor made his video one of the more fun sports moments this week.
As Finneseth prepares for the 2024 season under head coach Deion Sanders, his presence on the field continues to grow.
Last season, he played in the first two games before his injury. Standing at 6’ 2”, in his redshirt freshman year in 2022, Finneseth appeared in three games on defense, recording one tackle, and made a significant impact on special teams, finishing third on the team with 16 special teams points and nine tackles.
In his senior year, he rushed for 556 yards and eight touchdowns, caught 18 passes for 227 yards and three scores, and recorded 32 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack on defense.
Born on January 20, 2003, in Litchfield, Minnesota, Finneseth hails from a sports-oriented family. Finneseth’s father, Robert, was a 3-time All-American wrestler at North Dakota State.
