However, the match between the teams was restarted after a break of 30 minutes. The blast took place near the headquarters of police and the entrance of Quetta Cantonment, which is located near the Bigut Stadium.
The local media reported a public outburst outside the Stadium was also one of the reasons due to which a halt happened as fans who arrived at the stadium were more than the capacity of Bugti Stadium.
This chaos all happened due to the mismanagement outside the Stadium and as a result a group of spectators protested outside the Stadium by setting a fire and throwing stones.
Soon afterwards the social media platforms such as Twitter was flooded with clips of smoke emerging in the stadium, that was also one of the reasons leading to halt.
As per a report by Geo News, the officials of PCB stated that more than 13,000 tickets were sold for the exhibition match.
Meanwhile, many reports claimed that countless people had gathered in large numbers at Bugti Stadium to see the professional players like Babar Azam, Shahid Afridi, and Sarfraz Khan ahead of the PSL Season 8.
Several local media claimed that there was a lot of strict security around the stadium and its surrounding area with more than 4,000 police and Frontier Corps personnel who were posted.
After the incident, the local district administration posed a ban on drone cameras in and around the stadium. The fans who attended the exhibition match stated that they weren’t allowed to bring any flag other than Pakistani flag into the stadium.
