Bengaluru police say language not an issue in Nitesh Yadav viral video of alleged harassment at eatery

“I am from Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, and I work at a food stall in Bengaluru. The people who come to our stall have a major problem with Hindi-speaking people. What do they think of themselves? Will they kill us? Everybody abuses and belittles us, without even showing mercy. I request the government to do justice to the Hindi-speaking people in Karnataka,” Yadav said in the viral video.

But according to the cops, it wasn’t a problem with language. Instead, it was a fight about a “torn currency note” and “bad food.” Police say that one of the customers gave Yadav a torn piece of money, which led to a fight between the two.

The cops say that what they know so far about the argument is that it got out of hand because the youth didn’t speak Kannada and the customers didn’t speak Hindi. “He intentionally turned this into a language issue by shouting in the middle of the road. We have learned that he has returned home. No one has filed any complaint, so far,” the cops said.

Bihar government assures safety of Biharis living in Karnataka

The Bihar government is aware of what happened and has made sure that Biharis who live in Karnataka are safe. “We will not tolerate any kind of discrimination against our people in other states. We will ensure their safety and security,” said Renu Devi, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar.

People can stop things like this from happening if they learn to respect each other’s language and culture. Both people from the area and people from other places should try to understand each other and avoid confusion. The government also has an important part to play in fostering a mindset of openness and acceptance.

In the end, the situation with Nitesh Yadav shows that people from different places and cultures need to understand and accept each other more. The event needs to be looked into carefully, and if anyone is to blame, they need to be punished. The event should also be a wake-up call for the government and the people to work on creating a society of acceptance and tolerance.
