The away end at Turf Moor saw Arsenal and Burnley supporters fight with each other at the end of the 90 minutes
After three successive defeats to begin their Premier League 2021/22 campaign, Arsenal have finally managed to stem the rot. Although the two 1-0 wins against Norwich City and Burnley haven’t been convincing by any means, the club has atleast managed to get itself out of the bottom three.
Travelling to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday, Arsenal knew a stern and tricky test awaited them on the day. They were up against a dicey Burnley unit, a team well endowed with a resilient and gritty defensive unit.
And given Arsenal’s lopsided attacking setup, this match was bound to be a stern test for the visitors. However, Martin Odegaard managed to up the ante, stepping up to justify why Arsenal had reposed faith in his services this season with him netting a gem of a freekick.
Arsenal And Burnley Supporters Fight Each Other After The Match
The strike was enough to give Arsenal a 1-0 win on the day, a much cherished one for the club based out of London owing to the crisis the team finds itself in currently. However, while the team was rejoicing on the pitch, the club’s supporters were sparring away from it as a widespread brawl broke out in the stands.
The away end of Turf Moor right behind the goal saw Arsenal and Burnley supporters have a go at each other with plastic bottles and punches being thrown about unabated. Visuals which have emerged from the fight show the two set of supporters leave no expense to clobber each other with the stewards failing to intervene.
