At the Parc des Princes, Les Parisiens preserved their perfect start to the Ligue 1 season with a simple 5-2 victory over Montpellier, continuing Christophe Galtier’s perfect start to life as PSG head coach but video of an angry Kylian Mbappe has gone viral
PSG maintains their lead in the standings thanks to the victory.
Angry Kylian Mbappe Stops Playing After Vitinha Passes To Lionel Messi Instead Of Him During PSG vs Montpellier, Video Goes Viral
Christophe Galtier’s team trounced Montpellier 5-2 at the Parc des Princes, strengthening Paris Saint-hold Germain’s on first place in Ligue 1. PSG entered their first home game of the season in a strong frame of mind after a magnificent 5-0 victory away at Clermont Foot on the opening matchday last weekend.
However, one notable moment which stood out was Mbappe refusing to carry on with a counterattack as his petulant personality once again shone after he failed to get a pass he was yearning for.
Mbappe needs top pip down his ego… He legit walked away from a counter because he didn't receive a pass and funny enough if he had made the run in the box he would have scored the goal but he wasn't there. pic.twitter.com/Rucas9RD5n

Mbappe missed penalty
Nevertheless, Montpellier sat deep in a tight low-block in the opening period of the game, frustrating the defending Ligue 1 champions. Following a VAR review by the referee for a handball by Jordan Ferri in the area, Les Parisiens was then given the chance to break through when they were given a penalty in the 22nd minute.
Standing over the penalty kick was Kylian Mbappe, who was making his first Ligue 1 start of the year. Unfortunately, Montpellier goalkeeper Jonas Omlin made a great stop on the PSG player’s penalty.
Own goal by Falaye Sacko
Despite the failure, a quarter of an hour later Paris made the breakthrough. Falaye Sacko of Montpellier, who scored an unlucky own goal, turned in Mbappe’s low ball into the box.
Neymar converted a penalty
Then, just two minutes later, the defender handled the ball in the box, giving PSG their second penalty of the game, making Sacko’s night even worse. From the spot, Neymar shot the ball perfectly into the bottom-left corner.
Back-to-back goals from Neymar
Soon after the break, Paris added a third goal as Neymar completed his hat trick by heading past Omlin at the near post to seal the victory.
In the 58th minute, against the flow of play, Montpellier scored when Wahbi Khazri tapped in a rebound after Gianluigi Donnarumma made a stop in the area.
Mbappe back in the action
However, it was only a consolation goal as Paris scored their fourth in the 69th minute. Following a corner, Mbappe was the first to react at the far post to score.
Renato Sanches joins the party
With three minutes remaining, late substitution and recent Paris signing Renato Sanches also scored to finish off a fantastic evening in the French capital.
Just before the end of regulation, Montpellier added another consolation when Enzo Gianni Tchato Mbiayi joined the action in the 89th minute.
NEYMAR was the game’s MVP.
The Brazilian was by a fair margin the best player on the field for the second gameweek in a row. When he entered the box for the home team, the attacker for the team appeared dangerous, and he finished the night with two goals. It came extremely close to being three, but VAR wrote off his third goal due to an infringement.
Neymar completed four crucial passes, four successful dribbles, and three successful tackles in all.
