Liverpool and Arsenal played out a draw, but it was a controversial game because assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis reportedly elbowed Liverpool left back Andy Robertson with the video viral
During halftime, Robertson went up to Tierney and said something, which made the official give him a yellow card.
Jamie Carragher, a commentator, said that Hatzidakis “elbowed” Andy Robertson, and TV replays seemed to show that the assistant referee hit the full-back. Since then, the PGMOL has stated that it will look into the whole thing.

After that, Liverpool’s players, including a furious Andrew Robertson, circled Tierney, and the referee had some harsh words for Reds captain Jordan Henderson. Geoff Shreeves, a reporter for Sky Sports, said that Robertson was angry as he walked into the tunnel and said that the official had “elbowed him in the throat.”
Gary Neville, a former England player, said that what happened wasn’t “that bad,” and Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea striker, said that Hatzidakis should be banned for what he did to Andy Robertson.
Sutton calls for ban after incident, Despite Arsenal’s halftime lead
Appearing on BBC 5 Live, Sutton said on Andy Robertson incident, “I really don’t know what he was thinking. As far as I can see, he has to be banned. He will have to sit out a number of games. I can’t remember another incident like this. Where is the precedent for these things?”
Even though there was a lot of drama, Arsenal went into halftime with a 2-1 lead, even though the team looked like it was losing before the break. Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus put the visitors up 2-0, but Mo Salah got one back for the home team.
After the halfway whistle, Henderson, Diogo Jota, and Alexander-Arnold, who had already been warned, surrounded referee Tierney in a very angry way. After halftime, Liverpool came out fired up, and Rob Holding’s foul in the box gave Liverpool a penalty. But Salah missed the penalty kick, which he rolled wide of the goal.

Roberto Firmino’s header in the 87th minute gave the Reds an equal score, setting up a frantic end. Even though Liverpool tried hard, they couldn’t find a goal. Salah was stopped by Aaron Ramsdale, and Ibrahima Konate missed a close-range chance late in stoppage time.
The game finished in a tie, 2-2, which puts Arsenal six points ahead of Manchester City in the table. The team led by Pep Guardiola does have a game in hand. On April 26, Arsenal will go to City for a very important title matchup at the Etihad.
