Other highlights of the meet
One of the highlights was when Stephen Curry, the first-ever NBA Finals MVP, thanked the government for bringing WNBA star Brittney Griner back to the country following her arrest in February at a Moscow airport.
“The basketball world should take this chance to thank President Biden and his team for their diligence in bringing Brittney Griner home,” Curry remarked on Tuesday.
Coach Steve Kerr, who has previously been outspoken on the subject of gun violence and safety, claimed to have taken part in a roundtable conversation about these issues at the White House. “Over the course of the last hour or so, we learned a lot about the efforts this government is making to make our nation safer”, Kerr said. “Something that means a lot to me. And I’ve learned so much more than I thought, which is fantastic.”
