The semifinals at the Roland Garros tournament between Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev was assumed to be as one of the greatest matches of the tournament as both of them came past some quality players, but the match didn’t end as it was expected. He was withdrawn due to injury and Nadal got a walkover as he awaits the winner between Casper Ruud and Marin Cilic.

Alexander Zverev Injury, Return Date
In the 12th game of the second set, Zverev fell hard on his side of the court while attempting to retrieve a shot. Before being wheeled off the court in a wheelchair, he was screaming in sorrow.
Zverev was seen crying and screaming in pain while he rolled his knee to injury during the end of the second set. It was expected after seeing him that he won’t be able to return to court as the input looked major the way it made the player cry and that’s what happened. The No. 3 ATP player was forced to pull out of the tournament as he couldn’t even walk on his legs. The German was back on clay court but not to play but to say goodbye to the crowd and the Grand Slam tournament on crutches. He was given a standing ovation from the audience for his great performance against the King of Clay.

The semifinal match between Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev was ended in sorrow as the German broke his ankle at the end of the second set. The match ended with a score of 7-6(8), 6-6.
The player was seen crying, limping and screaming in severe pain. He was forced to retire as he couldn’t even walk properly. The No. 3 ATP player was back on the court and said goodbye to the crowd and the French Open 2022 tournament while he was seen on crutches.
Apparently, the injury looked major as the player was not even able to stand on his legs and took the help of crutches. It is to be seen if he will be back for grass season and Wimbledon.
