A case has been registered against the doctor at the Rishikesh police station. The conflict occurred on Saturday evening in AIIMS Rishikesh’s trauma center between a doctor and a female nursing officer.

It is alleged that the trauma center was being prepared to treat victims of the Rudraprayag accident when the dispute arose, leading the irate doctor to slap the nursing officer.

The argument escalated into a heated exchange between the two. Other nursing staff present managed to calm the situation. Meanwhile, someone recorded the incident and shared it on social media.

The nursing officer organization has demanded action from the AIIMS administration and threatened to go on strike if no action is taken.
