After a video of him receiving a body massage from a young kid went viral online, a cricket coach in Uttar Pradesh was punished. The Ravindra Kishore Shahi Sports Stadium in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, is home to the cricket coach.

After becoming aware of the viral video showing coach and warden Abdul Ahad getting a body massage from a young cricket trainee inside the dormitory, Sports Director Dr RP Singh issued the suspension orders. Mr Ahad is required to report to the regional office in Lucknow, according to the directive.

Further inquiries are to be conducted.

RN Singh, the deputy director of sports, has been designated as the inquiry officer who would look into the situation and present the findings. According to reports, the viral video is from August of last year. The sports department initiated an investigation after the video went viral.

Another viral video of a youngster making severe accusations against the instructor has surfaced in the meanwhile. The player claims in the video that the instructor used harsh language, made him give him a massage, and would not let him go home. Additionally, he claims that the coach forbade him from speaking to his father.

The District Magistrate has directed the formation of a three-person team under Sadar ADM. The committee has been given three days to produce its report.

The WPL team from Lucknow will be called UP Warriorz.
