Following a wellness check on Tuesday afternoon, the US Olympic track and field champion was discovered dead in her home in the Orlando region. Deputies were called to her home, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, “for a well-being check of a woman in her 30s who had not been seen or heard from for several days.” Her death’s cause is unknown but no foul play has been suspected.
