An appalling tragedy took place during a drag racing event in Texas when a drag racer spiraled out of control to see his car ram into the scores of bystanders who had turned up for the race.
The horrific accident ended up resulting in the instant death of a six year old while an 8 year old was declared dead at the hospital he was rushed out.

The crash occurred when the car veered off a runway at the Airport Race Wars 2, an event organised at Kerrville-Kerr County Airport, 65 miles northwest of San Antonio. Along with the two fatalities, eight other people received torrid injuries with four of them transported to hospitals by air ambulances.
Among the injured was a 46 year old woman who received heinous injuries which left her battling for her life. Two people received treatment for their injuries on the location of the accident after which they were released while a four year old boy and a three month old girl were taken to the hospital for precautionary evaluations.
The Kerrville Convention and Visitors Bureau had promoted the Airport Race Wars.
“An action packed, family-friendly day of all out No Prep Drag Racing. Come see some of the fastest drag cars compete for over $8000 in total prizes. Food and drink vendors will be onsite,” the notice on the site read.
