A truly unpleasant act will inevitably result in harsh punishment as a man had attacked a female surfer in Bali with the video of Joao Paulo Azevedo beating Sara Taylor now viral

It was captured on camera and shared on social media after female surfer Sara Taylor was struck in the head by an unidentified surfer. It almost immediately generated a widespread uproar across all social media channels, and the hunt for the offender started. While many users had previously identified him as a Brazilian surfer under Taylor’s Instagram post, he was recently recognised as Joao Paulo Azevedo.

Azevedo is currently receiving strong criticism from all facets of society, with surfing icon Kelly Slater advocating for his deportation. His relationship with clothing company Quebra Onda, one of Azevedo’s brand advocates, was severed, which was a worse blow to him.

The entire surfing community criticizes the terrible deed.

The incident, which was captured on camera, attracted everyone’s attention and spread like wildfire. Sara Taylor is kicked in the head in the video when she is ambushed by an unidentified surfer (whose identity has since been changed to Azevedo). The video then abruptly cuts to the beach, implying that the altercation continued there and that Azavedo began punching her buddy Charlie for taking a video.

In response to the abuse he has been receiving, Azevedo, who is currently in the eye of a hurricane, apparently deactivated his social media accounts. Azevedo wasn’t the only person there who felt oppressed by the heat, though.

A challenging journey lies ahead for the Brazilian surfer

Adriano Portela, a fellow surfer of Azevedo, was also present in Bali at the time of the event. Taylor fell into the sea when Azevedo struck her, just avoiding a collision with Portela’s surfboard. On his Instagram, Portela also apologised in front of the public, admitting that his actions were “angry and disrespectful.” He asserted, however, that he hadn’t “struck or touched anyone.”

Azevedo hasn’t provided any updates, but it is certain that rejoining the surfing world will be a very challenging, if not impossible, challenge for him. Does Azevedo deserve strong punishment? What, in your opinion, was Azevedo deserving of as a penalty?
