Reece James and Manuel Lanzini were involved in a fight during West Ham vs Chelsea as the two London rivals took on each other
Back after missing out on Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Watford midweek owing to his knock against Manchester United, Reece James decided he wanted to lock heads with Manuel Lanzini. The Chelsea fullback was seen having a go at Lanzini before he stepped out to take a penalty, one conceded by Edouard Mendy with him and Jorginho combining to commit a horrid error.

Despite James’ best efforts to try and deviate Lanzini’s attention, the West Ham man managed to succefully slot home to level things up on the day for the club. And he was quick to hit back at James ensuing his goal as he stared down the Chelsea man before shoving him as he embarked for his celebration.

Things only went on a downtick for James thereon with the defender slipping to a 3-2 defeat as Chelsea lost ground in their Premier League race. Although Chelsea went onto restore their lead in the first half itself through a stunning Mason Mount volley, the club ended up shipping in two goals in the second period with Arthur Masuaku scoring the winner for the hosts in the 87th minute.
The defeat was Chelsea’s second winless result in the space of a week after the club was previously held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United last weekend. The club has failed to compensate for the string of injuries which have riddled it with Romelu Lukaku dropping another stinker as he came on in the second half with him failing to end his drought infront of the goal.
