Independent wrestler Masada mistakenly set himself on fire while doing a feat, resulting in severe burns to his face and torso. The terrible situation happened on April 22 in Pomona, California, during an XPW Wrestling deathmatch match, when Masada attempted to blow a flame at his opponent.

Masada, also known as Brigham Paul Doane, was born on June 16, 1981, and he presently wrestles in the Xtreme Pro Wrestling organisation. Currently, he has the XPW World Heavyweight Championship.

Doane received coaching from Shawn Michaels and Rudy Boy Gonzalez at the Texas Wrestling Academy. After making his professional wrestling debut in the Coastalase States Wrestling Alliance (CSWA), he travelled to Ring of Honour and joined The Carnage Crew with HC Loc, DeVito, and finally Justin Credible. They would wrestle together in a number of tag contests.

He also competed in six-man mayhem battles, proving that despite his size, he could still move quickly and keep up with the smaller rivals. At Our Best’s main event featured Special K being defeated by Masada and the rest of The Carnage Crew, who went on to win the second-ever Scramble Cage. Special K and the Carnage Crew have fought.
