As Toronto won the CFL championship 41-24, Arbuckle took the field and completed 26 of 37 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. He had only thrown 1,017 passes in the regular season, with 27 touchdowns and 32 interceptions, and had started 25 games prior to this game.

Arbuckle had only started one postseason game before the Grey Cup, and it was back in high school.
