Following the widespread circulation of the video, ESPN issued an apology on Monday night for the broadcast of the footage, expressing regret for the incident.

In the midst of the vibrant atmosphere on the streets of New Orleans in anticipation of the Sugar Bowl, Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. delivered a standout performance in College Football Playoff history.

Despite his dominance, the final moments were suspenseful, with Texas inching closer to a comeback. Quarterback Quinn Ewers attempted a fourth-down throw to Adonai Mitchell in the end zone, reminiscent of an earlier touchdown.

However, Washington’s Elijah Jackson, determined to redeem himself, leaped into the air, successfully deflecting the ball as time expired, securing a thrilling 37-31 victory for the Huskies in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
