According to Sgt. Michael Curley of Proctor High School in Utica, New York, the unnamed man was shot outside the stadium at around 4:10 that afternoon, according to Fox News.
After Proctor’s 60-30 victory over Binghamton High School on Saturday afternoon, fighting broke out in the school’s parking lot. Check out this recent video that was uploaded on X, which depicts a group of brawlers fighting while two security personnel attempt to break up the altercation.
The sound of gunfire is heard as people begin to disperse, and one of the guards is struck in the back of the head. He is seen falling to the ground. He was taken to a nearby hospital and listed there in a critical but stable condition. According to the Utica Police Department, officers looked over various cameras taken on the site and determined that the shooter was a 16-year-old boy.

Following his surrender on Sunday, the teen was accused with attempted murder and crimes involving a handgun. He didn’t explain his motivation.
