The Boston Marathon is a famous race that draws people from all over the world every year but a runner dropping a poop in 2023 video has gone viral
For many people, it’s a personal challenge, a chance to see how far they can go and do something great.
But for one runner at this year’s marathon, it was a chance to see how far he or she could go without breaking the rules of good taste and humanity.
Several news sources, like The Sun and The Daily Mail, have written about a video of a marathon runner using a stranger’s garden as a toilet break during the race. The homeowner’s doorbell camera caught the runner going off course and squatting down on the ground to use the bathroom.

People can be heard cheering in the background as the runner ends his business, pulls up his shorts, and rejoins the race through a gap in the bushes.
Many people who have seen the film are angry and upset about what happened. One fan wrote on Twitter, “Imagine cutting the lawn and being like, “WTF… wait… WTH?” Another person said, “The worst part for me is not being able to wipe.” Some people have felt sorry for the runner, saying that when you have to go, you have to go.
Lessons learned from the Boston Marathon toilet break incident
Even though we don’t know who the runner was, it is clear that he took a big risk when he stopped to use a stranger’s yard as a toilet. With over 30,000 people running the 26.2-mile race, there were plenty of portable toilets along the way. It’s not clear why the runner couldn’t wait until he got to one of them.
The accident has made people wonder how important it is to plan and train well for long-distance sports. Even though accidents can happen and runners may find themselves needing to use the toilet in the middle of a race, it is usually considered rude to stop and go to the toilet in public. Most races have a lot of bathrooms along the course, and runners are told to plan their breaks to drink water and use the bathroom appropriately.
How the Marathon Runner’s toilet break could have gotten him disqualified?
The runner’s actions were not only dirty and rude to the homeowner whose land was used as a makeshift bathroom, but they also put him in danger of being kicked out of the race. The Boston Athletic Association, which puts on the marathon, has strict rules about how players should act. Anyone who breaks these rules can be kicked out of the race and banned from future events.
Even though the runner in question hasn’t been punished yet, the video is a stark warning that running a marathon takes more than just physical strength and determination. It also takes a sense of personal responsibility and respect for others, whether they are other runners or people who live along the race route.
