Game availability and requirements

Starfield is set to launch globally on September 6, for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The game will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one. As for the system requirements, players will need an SSD to play the game on PC.

Todd Howard, speaking to IGN earlier this year, said, “I think it’ll come as no surprise, given our previous games, what we go for. Always these huge, open worlds, fully dynamic, hyper detail where anything can happen.”

On Xbox Series consoles, Starfield will run at 30FPS to maintain consistency. Howard also mentioned, “It’s often running way above that. Sometimes it’s 60. But on the consoles, we do lock it because we prefer consistency, where you’re not even thinking about it.”

Conclusion

Because to the leak, anticipation for Starfield’s release has been ratcheted up to an even higher level. Players now have a better idea of what to anticipate from this much awaited video game. As the game’s official release date approaches closer, it is still unknown whether or not it will live up to the massive amount of excitement that has been surrounding it.
