Sophia Floersch failed to recover from the Racing Team India Euraisa Car t-boning into her as the crash at 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021 ended her sortie
One of the most tedious and grueling races in the world of motorsports, Le Mans has since its advent in 1923 witnessed manifold crashes. With the endurance of drivers being put to the sword as they are overworked and left fatigued over the 24 hour race, accidents are not new to the circuit in France.
Adding to the plight of the drivers is the waning daylight and inclement weather. The same was on show during the 24 Hours of Le Mans race 2021 with sporadic bursts of race making racing an arduous task.
It lead to a string of crashes with Richard Mille Racing in particular finding themselves in a soup owing to the rain. The all woman setup saw its race being ended after a string of bad luck.
