The 24-year-old Osimhen made an incredible 71-inch leap, rising to a height of 8.47 feet (2.58 metres), which was higher than the crossbar (8 feet), before beating Spezia goalie Bartlomiej Drgowski. Osimhen’s previous record, which he set against Torino at the Diego Maradona Stadium last season, was 2.52 metres. This is a new personal career high for him.

Osimhen scored twice and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia scored from the penalty spot to give the Serie A leaders the victory. With the victory, Luciano Spalletti’s team increased its lead of 13 points over Inter Milan, who was in second place. After 21 league games this season, they have accumulated 56 points. The Nerazzuri now have 43 points after winning the Milan derby after playing the same number of games.

Osimhen has now scored five goals with his head this season, which is the second-most in the top five leagues in Europe. Harry Kane, on the other hand, is in first place with seven goals from head shots.

The Nigerian international has started this season off strong for Napoli. In 21 appearances for the Italian team, he has contributed four assists and 17 goals. Several top-tier European teams have taken notice of Osimhen’s play, with Manchester United being one of those linked to a summer transfer for the striker.

Erik ten Hag is eager to expand his alternatives for attacking. Osimhen, according to The Daily Mail, has become a priority target for United after an outstanding season with Napoli. Osimhen is also coveted by Chelsea, and it’s thought that his contract has a £107 million release clause. And it appears that United are prepared to confront it as Ten Hag works to assemble a team that can contend on all fronts.

If a trasnfer is completed, it will equal the Premier League record price paid by Chelsea on transfer deadline day for midfielder Enzo Fernandez of Benfica.
