The actor, who has been in numerous Bollywood comedies like Dhamaal, Housefull, Kya Kool Hai Hum, Masti, Grand Masti, etc., is putting his talents to the test in every area of his filmography.
Deshmukh made the transition from director to producer with the Marathi movie Balak-Palak. He made his directorial debut with Ved, which is being hailed as a thriller. Ved is inspired from to Telugu language film Majili. The movie is made on a budget of Rs.20 crore.

On October 26, Riteish posted on social media the news of their next movie, Ved. The actor-director also shared the first image from the movie, which features Riteish and Genelia D’Souza.
Riteish is depicted in a rough outfit and carrying a cigarette, in contrast to Genelia, who is portrayed as the stereotypical Indian girl sporting a bindi on her forehead.
Genelia makes her Marathi film debut in this love story, according to the trailer.
The Cast Of The Ved
After the 2012 romantic comedy Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Riteish and his wife, actress Genelia D’Souza, are back on the big screen in Mumbai Film Company’s production. But they also worked together on the hugely successful Marathi movie Lai Bhaari in 2014. In this, Riteish played a major role and Genelia served as the movie’s producer.
They will appear in the upcoming Mister Mummy Bollywood movie, which is presently being filmed. Genelia makes her full-length acting debut in Ved, a significant Marathi movie. In significant roles, it also features Raj Kande, Salman Khan, Ashok Saraf, Jiya Sankar, and Shubham Tawde.

The couple shared the first look and the release date of the movie on their individual social media accounts. They also announced the project and showed the first look of the movie Ved. On December 30, 2022, Riteish, Genelia, Siddharth Ghadage, and Patil will release the film, which was written by Sandeep S. Patil and Rushikesh Turai and supported by them.
