Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, one of Bollywood’s cutest and most endearing couples, reunited on screen, know the OTT release date of Ved
The couple is seen in the Marathi film “Ved” after a lengthy absence. Even two weeks after its debut, the movie is receiving favourable reviews and dominating Maharashtra’s box office.
Deshmukh, who also made the transition from director to producer with the Marathi movie Balak-Palak, makes his directorial debut with the thriller Ved. The actor, who has appeared in numerous Bollywood comedies like Dhamaal, Housefull, Kya Kool Hai Hum, Masti, Grand Masti, etc., is putting his filmography to the test.
Ved Marathi movie OTT release date, platform, box office collection and budget
According to some sources, the OTT juggernaut Amazon Prime has purchased the post-theatrical digital rights to the film. It is planned to make its platform debut in February 2023. It is currently eagerly seeking new OTT releases in the future, but no official word has been made by the producers or streaming site on its OTT rights or release date.
Star Cast of Ved
Genelia makes her full-length acting debut in Ved, a significant Marathi movie. In lead roles, it also features Raj Kande, Salman Khan, Ashok Saraf, Jiya Sankar, and Shubham Tawde. The song “Ved Lavlay” features a surprise appearance by Salman Khan.
Budget and Box Office for Ved (21 days)
On December 30, 2022, the movie, which was written by Sandeep S. Patil and Rushikesh Turai and supported by Riteish, Genelia, Siddharth Ghadage, and Patil, opened in theatres. Ved, a movie with an estimated budget of 10 crores, had a successful opening weekend at the box office.
Following the rise over Saturday and Sunday, Ved earned Rs 2.3 Cr on its first day and amassed Rs 10 Cr net for its maiden weekend.
The movie made Rs 20.67 Cr in its first week of release and Rs 20.18 Cr the next week with a slight decline of 2.37%. For a total of 47.66 Cr in 17 days, it collected more over 6.5 crores on its third weekend. With a strong run of three weeks, the Indian box office has now surpassed the 50 Crore milestone.
With this, it has surpassed “Pawankhind” (Rs 45 Cr gross) to become the second-biggest Marathi movie of all time. Ved’s box office take after three weeks is 50.80 Cr, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
The Riteish-Genelia-starring film is currently trailing “Sairat,” the only Marathi film to surpass the 100 million mark worldwide.

On October 26, Riteish announced their forthcoming movie Ved on social media. The actor-director also revealed the first image from the movie, which features Riteish and Genelia D’Souza. Riteish is portrayed as having a gruff appearance while holding a cigarette, in contrast to Genelia, who is depicted as the stereotypical Indian female sporting a bindi on her forehead.
