Real Madrid On The Verge Of Winning La-Liga
Madrid moved 15 points clear at the top of La Liga with their win in the Andalusian capital. Moreover, they only need 10 points from their next six games to win the league. Despite Madrid’s remarkable comeback from a two-goal deficit at halftime to triumph in the final minutes, the game had its fair share of contentious officiating decisions.
Eduardo Camavinga Escapes An Easy Red Card
Ivan Rakitic and Erik Lamela scored two goals midway through the first half to put Sevilla firmly on course for three points. The home side completely dominated Carlo Ancelotti’s out-of-sorts side. After receiving a yellow card, Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was extremely fortunate to avoid receiving a second yellow.
The Frenchman made a nasty foul on Anthony Martial, a fellow countryman who is on loan at Sevilla from Manchester United. Camavinga’s attempt at a challenge completely missed the ball while also taking down the forward. This prompted Martial to be replaced minutes later by attacker Rafa Mir. Camavinga did not get a second yellow card by referee Guillermo Cuadra, which was somewhat controversial.
