His brother, Gary Lee, announced the news on Facebook on Wednesday, confirming that his brother had gone away on Tuesday following a lengthy illness. He added,
He was one of the closest friends I ever had and I loved him immensely. I will miss him forever and ever and ever.

Van Conner was a well-known American rock musician. He has been in the news because he passed away recently.
He was born on March 17, 1967, in Apple Valley, California, U.S. He has a brother named Gary Lee Connor, who is also a well-known musician. However, nothing much is known about his background.
He was married to Jill Danielson in 1993. They were together until his death.

His career
Van Conner, his brother Gary Lee Conner, and Mark Pickerel started the band Explosive Generation when they were still in high school. With the addition of singer Mark Lanegan to the group in 1985, they eventually changed their name to Screaming Trees.
Up until the band’s breakup in 2000, he participated in seven studio albums by Screaming Trees. While still in Screaming Trees, he started the side project Solomon Grundy, where he sang lead and played guitar.
Later, he created the Gardener side project, which issued an album in 1999. He worked as a studio musician after Screaming Trees disbanded and started other alternative rock bands, such as VALIS and Musk Ox.
