The series is being creatively produced by the well-known husband and wife team Pushkar & Gayathri under the auspices of Wallwatcher Films. They are best known for directing the 2017 Tamil action thriller Vikram Vedha. The pair presently worked on the Hindi version of Vikram Vedha, which stars Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan.
On April 28, 2022, at its glamorous Amazon Prime Present India event in Mumbai, the streamer unveiled the series in addition to its more than 40 new titles. These titles included original web series, original films, and co-productions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Suzhal: The Vortex, The Village, Modern Love Chennai, etc. are some other new Tamil television programmes that were also unveiled on the same day. Pushkar-Gayathri, who runs Wallwatcher Films, also created, directed, and produced Suzhal.
The renowned Bollywood director Karan Johar served as the event’s emcee. The streamer introduced all of these titles with the hashtag “#SeeWhereItTakesYou.”
Date Of OTT Release For Vadhandhi
The producers of this detective story have announced that it will be released on December 2, 2022, in Tamil and other Indian languages. The trailer was released on November 22, as stated in the first look poster that was released on November 17.
Storyline Of The Vadhandhi
This gripping noir thriller’s plot centres on the murder of a beautiful young woman. It is told from the viewpoints of many characters, including an unrelentingly obsessed police officer, an author mesmerised by her grace, and an opportunistic new editor.
The Vadhandi Star Cast
J. Suryah, a film director and actor from South India, is starring in the series. His directing credits include Vaali (1999), Kushi (2000), New (2004), Anbe Aaruyire (2005), and Isai (2015). He is also well-recognised for his roles as an antagonist in Spyder (2017), Mersel (2017), and Maandaadu (2021). While this is going on, the actor has projects like Don, Kadamaiyai Sei, and Radha Mohan’s Bommai at various stages of production.
Laila, an actress best known for her roles in the movies Dheena, Dhill, Pithamagan, Ullam Ketkumae, and many others, has been cast in a television series. Veteran actor and filmmaker M. Nasser, who has won numerous awards, has joined the cast of Vadhandhi. Additionally, actors Sanjana and Vivek Prasanna will also be seen in the cast of this crime drama series.
