The USWNT players will have their final chances to impress their coaches to feature on the national squad as the nation prepares to kickstart their World Cup defence title this July and August across Australia and New Zealand.
USWNT vs Ireland matches preview
The USWNT will play both their final two international friendlies before Vlatko Andonovskiโs squad announcement against World Cup debutants Ireland. Both matches will take place in the United States.
Veteran striker Alex Morgan will feature on the team for both the games alongside familiar names like Becky Sauerbrunn, Kelley OโHara, Crystal Dunn, Lindsey Horan and Julie Ertz. The full team consists of a 26-player squad.
Sadly, USWNT forward Megan Rapinoe, who currently has 199 international caps, is ruled out for both the upcoming games as she is still recovering from a lower leg injury.
Meanwhile, Mallory Swanson who made an MVP performance for the U.S. during the SheBelieves Cup, will come off to play. The USWNT won the SheBelieves Cup title with wins over Canada, Japan and Brazil.
