Spring football is here, and the USFL is hoping to take advantage of an opportunity to grow the sport, know the 2022 teams and schedule
For the third time in four years, a new football league will try to establish itself as a viable rival to the NFL.
The United States Football League (USFL) is the most recent league to give it a go. The league picked eight clubs from the old USFL, which lasted from 1983 to 1986, and kept the rights to some of the original team names. All of the games in the USFL’s debut season will be played at Protective Stadium and Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama, which distinguishes it from the Alliance of American Football and the XFL.

The eight teams that will compete in 2022 are listed below. The tickets for the matches can be bought here. The North Division will have four teams, while the South Division will have four:

USFL 2022 SCHEDULE
The top two teams in each division will qualify for the postseason, which will be hosted at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. On Sunday, July 3, the USFL Championship Game will also be held in Canton.
From April through July, the 2022 USFL season will begin on Saturday, April 16, with games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If the USFL finishes the season, it will be the first spring football league to do so since 2001’s XFL.

The USFL will follow its own set of rules and regulations, which will make the game more entertaining for viewers. Extra points are awarded for successful conversion tries, as well as stand-still kickoffs, alternate onside kicks, and a best-of-three overtime playoff shootout.
You can find all of the new USFL regulations here. The USFL will try to revive spring football once more, especially with the XFL and NFL teaming together in 2023. Over the next few months, the league has a chance to carve out a place for itself.
