For the unversed, recently, Ari Ramsey, has been making a buzz online as the 24-year-old Rugby player after winning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024, start spending her time in the Olympics village.

Although, not just watching the game, but the team USA star began taking advantage of a yearโ€™s worth of medical checkups as they are being provided free! Yes, you read right!

Currently, the Rugby player has been sharing her Olympic and healthcare experience using social media platform TikTok. With expressing her amazement at the comprehensive free healthcare services available in the Olympic village, the rising rugby star is making waves online.

It all began approximately six days ago, when Ramsey, shared a video of her after she received a Pap smear in Paris. After seeing the response on the video, she found her new passion!

In her viral video, Ari Ramsey, can be heard saying that โ€œshe has a dentist appointment and an eye exam next week.โ€

Is the Olympics Village Providing Free Healthcare?

Let us remind you, in the United States, healthcare is far from free and the insurance system frequently means high co-pays, limited access and a complex web of bureaucracy and these struggle are even more pronounced for marginalized communities.

Although, in one of her video, the athlete joked that sheโ€™s just attending the Olympics for free healthcare, she is indeed taking advantage of these necessary medical services.

As per reports, the Olympic village offers athletes free cardiology, orthopedics, physiotherapy, psychology, podiatry, and sports medicine services, among many others.

About Ari Ramsey

Born on March 25, 2000, Ari, whose full name is Ariana Ramsey, is an American rugby sevens player. She represented the team U.S.A. at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and the Paris Olympics 2024, winning a bronze medal at the later.

Growing up in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, Ramsey attended Upper Merion Area High School, where she began playing rugby during her sophomore year.

She was named team MVP for rugby and also lettered in wrestling, track, cheerleading, and field hockey, crediting her success in rugby to her diverse athletic background.

Later, in 2018, she enrolled at Dartmouth College and scored her first collegiate try in a NIRA semifinal win against Army. In 2021, she became the first Dartmouth womenโ€™s rugby player to compete in the Olympics.

Ramsey, as aforesaid, also played for the U.S. womenโ€™s national rugby sevens team at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, where the Eagles placed sixth.

Unfortunately, she tore her ACL during the Eaglesโ€™ opening match against China, causing her to miss her senior season at Dartmouth.
