UP Government Announces Colossal Prize Money And Package For Tokyo Olympics Bound India Contingent

The Yogi Adityanath government will award prize money to all those members of the India contingent at the Tokyo Olympics who will win medals during the games

According to the sportsperson of the state government, those athletes who will win gold medal will be awarded Rs.6 crore and on the other hand, the silver and bronze medalist would be given Rs.4 crore and Rs.2 crore respectively. Moreover, all the participants from Uttar Pradesh would be given Rs. 10 lakh, just for their participation in the game.

All those athletes who would be participating in the team games and if they win a gold medal, then they would be awarded Rs.3 crore and if they win a silver medal or a bronze medal, then they would be awarded Rs. 2 and 1 crore respectively.

During a recent interview with the Times of India, a spokesperson of the UP government said as he spoke about the state’s assistance of its athletes, “The government is trying to make all the necessary requirements for a better training of players under the Khoob Khelo, Khoob Badho Mission. We are leaving no stone unturned for their proper training and motivation. “

Initiatives taken by the government and Indian athletes package

The spokesperson also mentioned about different initiatives taken by the government for athletes during the last four years under the guidance of Yogi Adityanath. A total of 44 hostels were built for 890 players of different sports in 19 districts. The price of sports kit increased from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 2500.

Tokyo Olympics 2021
