Unai Emery’s managerial accomplishments
Unai Emery has had a stellar coaching career at the highest levels of European competition. Emery won three straight Europa Leagues while at Sevilla before joining French club Paris Saint-Germain in 2016.
He won a Ligue 1 championship, two Coupe de France crowns, two Coupe de la Ligues, and two Trophée des Champions in his second season, achieving a domestic quadruple. Emery was named head coach of the English club Arsenal in 2018, when his contract expired, succeeding Arsène Wenger. He finished second in the Europa League in his first season before being fired in November 2019 due to a string of disappointing results.
In July 2020, he was appointed by Villarreal, where he won the Europa League in his first season and led the team to a Champions League semi-final appearance the following season.
