On Tuesday, the new tournament calendar was released with Mumbai Khiladis to compete against the Gujarat Giants on the first day of the tournament and Chennai, Quick Guns will face Telugu Yoddhas in the second game on the same day.
On Independence Day i.e 15-Aug, fans will see a showdown between Rajasthan Warriors Vs. Mumbai Khiladis and Odisha Juggernauts Vs. Chennai Quick Guns during the second day of the event.
A total of 143 players were selected from six franchises as part of the draft organized on July 15. The players in the draft were categorized into four groups- Group A, B, C and D. Each franchise was allowed to pick 4 players from the Group A&B category and 12 played from Group C.
However, Category D included players exiting or joining their teams in the middle of the season.

League Format
In all, 30 games will be played in the first season between August 14 and 31. Each team will have to play twice against each other in the league stage. The top four teams after the end of the league stage will then move on to the playoff rounds.
Playoffs Format
The top two teams from the league stage will compete in Qualifier 1, and the winner of Q1 will get a direct spot in the final.
Then there will be an elimination round between the 3rd and 4th place teams in the League stage. And the winner will get the spot for Qualifier 2 and will compete against the loser of Qualifier 1.
The final game will be played between the winner of Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.
Final: The final is scheduled for Sunday, September 4.
