Following his impressive win in the UFC Fight Night 226 main event, Ciryl Gane will bag net payout of $1,170,000 including his $500,000 PPV Share and $500,000 confirmed purse. Meanwhile, Sergey Spivak will return home with humongous payout of $915,000 despite his defeat. At UFC Paris, Benoît Saint-Denis vs. Thiago Moisés was acknowledged as the Fight of the Night and both fighters bagged $50,000 each. Elsewhere, Ciryl Gane and Morgan Charrière won the Performance of the Night bonus worth $50,000.

UFC Fight Night 226 full fight card winner and results
Although he is considered as one of the best grapplers in UFC, Spivak couldn’t corner Gane, who displayed top-notch takedown defense and superior athleticism. Despite best efforts of Spivak to force the battle in his favor, the quick-footed Gane successfully blocked all takedown attempts and kept pummeling Spivak with blows. Ultimately, the fight culminated at 3:44 mark of the second-round, where Gane continued to apply pressure with Spivak pinned to the fence and referee Marc Goddard felt Spivak won’t be able to overturn the situation.
