UFC on ESPN 43: purse details, total payouts, & salaries of all fighters
Cory Sandhagen won the main event at UFC San Antonio and hence, he earned a total of $320,000 from his basic salary, pay-per-view shares, & sponsorship deals. Marlon Vera received a total payout of $370,000 despite losing the main event. Meanwhile, Nathan Landwehr and Daniel Pineda received the $50,000 Performance of the Night prize for their outstanding efforts.

UFC on ESPN 43: full fight card winner and results
Everyone who saw Cory Sandhagen compete against Marlon Vera thought he was spectacular, with the exception of the judge who evaluating the match. In the highly anticipated bantamweight main event of UFC San Antonio, Sandhagen emerged victorious against Vera thanks to him using a variety of techniques that prevented Vera from building momentum.
Since the fight wasn’t decided after 25 minutes, the results were decided by judge verdict and Sandhagen managed to win after he got 50-45 & 49-46 in his favor from two judges. However, he was left baffled as judge Joel Ojeda puzzlingly awarded 48-47 in Vera’s favor. Vera fought off three takedown attempts in the opening minute of the championship rounds, but Sandhagen kept racking up standup victories. In the closing 15 seconds of the round, Vera scored with a great combination, but it wasn’t enough to stop Sandhagen’s momentum.
