Israel Adesanya took to his his YouTube channel and uploaded a video, breaking down the upcoming bantamweight clash Cory Sandhagen vs TJ Dillashaw.
Reigning UFC middleweight king Israel Adesanya uploaded a video on YouTube channel highlighting the similarities and differences of Sandhagen and Dillashaw. They will go head-to-head this Saturday on UFC Vegas 32 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Israel talked about the best tools of both the fighters. UFC Fight Night: Israel Adesanya Talks About Cory Sandhagen vs TJ Dillashaw
Speaking about Cory Sandhagen, Adesanya began by elaborating on his jab and how his best display of the move was against John Linekar. According to him, that jab had a real Master’s degree in that fight. As for his footwork, Israel called his movement “sick” and said that his boy shots will play to his advantage against Dillashaw. “He’ll throw s**t like a flying knee from a distance you wouldn’t think he would land it from.”
Talking about the former bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw, addressed the elephant in the room, saying how this was his first fight after being suspended for EPO. Speaking on his offense, Israel said that what really took him to the next level is his striking. He loves the way T.J. fights with fire. “He’s tough. I’ve seen him get dropped before and come back and do some work and finish the fight.”
Israel feels like it’s going to be a battle of the feet but if there’s someone who can take it to the ground, it’s T.J. He specially mentioned the latter’s sneaky takedown which he fakes and follows up with an uppercut. “And he catches a lot of people with that, ’cause they’re already worried about the takedown,” continued Israel. In the end, he concluded by specifying the key to victory for both the fighters. For Cory, it’s his jab and for Dillishaw, his footwork.
