Five combatants received post-fight bonuses on Saturday thanks to another rowdy crowd at UFC Charlotte. Bryan Battle, a hometown favorite who stunned Gabe Green with a shocking 14-second knockout on the preliminary programme, received a personal tip of the hat from White. In addition, Matt Brown received a $50,000 bonus for his walk-off victory over Court McGee in the first round, which allowed him to tie with the all-time UFC knockout record. Despite his loss at the main event of UFC Charlotte, Jairzinho Rozenstruik is expected to walk away with confirmed purse of $125,000.

Jailton Almeida demonstrated one more why he might someday win the UFC heavyweight championship. In his biggest fight yet, the Brazilian took less than four minutes and only one takedown to force Jairzinho Rozenstruik to the mat, where he applied a rear-naked choke to terminate the fight in the UFC Charlotte main event. Almeida performed admirably, dodging Rozenstruik’s powerful attacks before completely destroying his opponent’s chances on the ground. At the 3:43 mark of the first round, Rozenstruik tapped out due to the imposed choke and lack of an escape route.
