Islam Makhachev, known for his dominant reign in the lightweight division, has consistently earned substantial sums. According to reports, Makhachev earned payouts in the million-dollar range for his 2023 bouts against Alexander Volkanovski, with cumulative earnings reportedly surpassing $4 million when factoring in bonuses and other perks. For his 2025 fight against Tsarukyan, Makhachev is expected to secure a guaranteed purse of $1.5 million, with total earnings expected to exceed $3 million.
Arman Tsarukyan, Makhachev’s upcoming opponent, has also had his share of controversies and earnings. After defeating Charles Oliveira in a split decision at UFC 300 in April 2024, Tsarukyan faced a fine and suspension due to an altercation during his walkout. Despite the setbacks, his total purse for that fight was around $158k, from which $31,600 was withheld by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Arman Tsarukyan’s guaranteed purse for the fight is $500,000 and, if he wins the fight, his earnings will increase to a maximum of $2 million based on pay-per-view revenue share and performance bonuses while Islam Makhachev will face his opponent Tsarukyan in an event in which he has a guaranteed purse of $750,000, but his earnings could reach $3.5 million.
In the co-main event, UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili will defend his title against the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov. Dvalishvili, who previously earned an estimated $1.43 million for his title win over Sean O’Malley at UFC 306, is likely to see similar or higher payouts for this marquee matchup. Nurmagomedov, on the other hand, is expected to earn around $100k for his bout against Dvalishvili, following a $50k payout for his 2023 fight against Raoni Barcelos.
