According to reports, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski made $1,500,000 on Saturday from his base paycheck, pay-per-view shares, & sponsorship deals. Despite losing the main event, Yair Rodriguez received a reward of $1,030,000 in total. Meanwhile, co-main event winner Alexandre Pantoja returned home with net payout of $932,000 and his opponent Brandon Moreno bagged payout of $1,190,000 including his massive $600,000 confirmed purse.

UFC 290 full fight card winner and results
Following his victory over Yair Rodriguez in the main event of UFC 290, Alexander Volkanovski retained his featherweight division championship. Early on, the attack focused heavily on the ground as Volkanovski crushed Rodriguez in a number of wrestling encounters. However, late in the third round, a hard right hand from Volkanovski brought an end to the fight. Volkanovski threw Rodriguez to the ground after getting the better of him, then just started firing until referee Herb Dean was forced to break up the bout. Notably, the official stoppage time happened at 4:19 of the third-round and hence, Volkanovski successfully defended his featherweight title for the fifth time straight.
In the co-main event of UFC 290, Alexandre Pantoja managed a close split decision victory over Brandon Moreno to win the flyweight championship. Pantoja and Moreno engaged in a five-round bloodbath before reaching the final horn in what was a battle for the ages. When the bout was done, the scorecards could have easily gone any way, as evidenced by the judges, who scored the bout 46–49, 48–47, 48–47 in favor of Pantoja.
