UFC 288 full fight card winner and results

Aljamain Sterling defeated former two-division champion Henry Cejudo in the UFC 288 main event, defying the odds once more. All five rounds of the fight saw back-and-forth action, but Sterling was able to maintain his lead in the standings by using effective punching, takedowns, and better grappling at key moments to win. When the fight was completed, Cejudo and Sterling were given identical 48-47 scores from two of the three judges. Even so, Sterling received the nod and probably earned his biggest career victory.

Throughout the whole 25-minute bout, Sterling and Cejudo both had their moments, but there were no close endings, which perhaps made scoring even more difficult after the fight. Despite hitting with more strikes as he became more aggressive, Cejudo occasionally found it difficult to handle the stature and length of the current bantamweight champion.
