The UFC has a history of terrifying walk-outs.
Choosing their walkout song is a crucial decision that the fighters must make before every match. The songs are therefore intended to energise the crowd and the fighters in preparation for the battle.
UFC 284 brings the event back to Australia, this time to Perth’s RAC Arena. Notably, the title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev in the main event of UFC 284 is the event’s standout moment. Makhachev will face featherweight champion Volkanovski in his maiden title defence after defeating Charles Oliveira at UFC 280.
Volkanovski recently defeated Max Holloway in a trilogy match, effectively ending the series. He is now vying against Makhachev for the lightweight belt in an effort to become the champ-champ. Moreover rank 2 Yair Rodriguez and rank 5 Josh Emmett will contest for the interim featherweight title.

The UFC 284 walkout music by Islam Makhachev
At UFC 280, Islam Makhachev previously faced Charles Oliveira for the vacant lightweight championship. He finished the evening with a submission in Round 2, capping off a commanding performance. He will therefore be competing in hostile territory to defend his lightweight title and to try to overtake the current #1 P4P. This time, he’s certain to make a powerful exit as well.
Islam frequently utilises the same song each time he makes the trip to the Octagon for his walkout. Makhachev had already left to the upbeat pace of the well-known Russian dance song Lezginka. In addition, he used Ghaltana, a very well-known Arabic song by Saad Lamjarred, in his fight with Davi Ramos at UFC 242. Additionally, he chose the renowned DMX song “Intro” for his bout with Gleison Tibau at UFC 220.
The UFC 284 walkout music by Alexander Volkanovski
Volkanovski is a huge admirer of the popular television series “Game of Thrones,” as fans are aware. As a result, Jason Yang and Roger Lima’s violin cover of the “Game of Thrones” theme song served as Alexander “The Greatexit “‘s music in the past. Volk famously utilised the tune during his battles with Chad Mendes, Jose Aldo, and other opponents.
Volkanovski has switched to a different walkout music since winning the featherweight title, though. Volkanovski now plays the song “Down Under” as his exit music as a result. Men at Work, a well-known Australian band, wrote the song. Fans will therefore undoubtedly applaud him loudly. Volkanovski has been humming the tune since since his UFC 251 bout with Max Holloway. He also utilised the same song during his most recent fight at UFC 276.

Josh Emmett fought Shane Burgos in the featherweight division in 2020. He left the party to a mix of Pusha T’s “Pain,” Brotha Lynch Hung’s “Refuse 2 Lose,” and Rebelution’s “Sky Is The Limit.”
Emmet then walked out to Rebelution’s “Sky’s the Limit” as he prepared for his fight with Dan Ige and Calvin Kattar. As a result, it seems like Emmett has discovered his niche, which is consistent with his best-ever UFC run of form. So, we can anticipate that Josh will exit the ring to the same tune at UFC 284.
The UFC 284 walkout music by Yair Rodriguez
Yair Rodriguez previously exited the ring to “Humilde por Herencia” by Jovany Cadena on September 22, 2019, prior to his match with Jeremy Stephens. However, an unintentional eye poke caused the battle to conclude as a no contest. A month later, “El Pantera” walked out to Los Rieleros Del Norte’s “El Invencible” for the rematch.
After defeating Stephens, Yair went up against Max Holloway in 2021. The Mexican left that night to Los Rieleros del Norte’s “El Corrido de Chihuahua.” Despite his valiant effort, Yair was unsuccessful and was defeated by a unanimous verdict. He would later make a comeback, walking out to the same song once more, in 2022 when he faced Brian Ortega.
