According to reports, UFC 284 main-event winner and the reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev made a total of $1,100,000 from his base salary, pay-per-view shares, & sponsorship deals. Despite losing the main event, Alexander Volkanovski received a total reward of $1,080,000. Yair Rodriguez, who won the co-main event, received a net reward of $270,000 compared to Josh Emmett, who received a net payout of $95,000.

UFC 284 full fight card winner and results
Volkanovski displayed good movement and stance switching in the early stages. Midway through the opening round, he managed to catch Makhachev with a solid punch that backed the champion up against the cage. Early in the second, Makhachev was wounded once more by Volkanovski, but he managed to survive with a takedown. Makhachev attempted to knock Volkanovski to the ground once more in the third round, but the featherweight champion displayed his true might and came close to completing his own takedown.
In the fourth round, Volkanovski dropped his guard amidst a scramble that allowed Makhachev to score significant control time against his rival’s strong defense. Makhachev caused serious damage with his inside knees in the fifth round and in the process, Volkanovski got cut below his eye. However, Volkanovski continued to display a strong takedown defense, allowing him to knock down Makhachev by stun-jailing him with a powerful right hand. During the closing moments of the fight, Volkanovski rained down punches on Makhachev but, the final bell signaled the end of UFC 284’s main-event.
Main Event Result: Islam Makhachev defeated Alexander Volkanovski through Unanimous Decision (48-47,48-47,49-46)

UFC 284 bonus prizes and fight of the night
Makhachev & Volkanovski each received an additional $50,000 along with “Fight of the Night Award” for their bloody, drawn-out main-event fight. At the PPV event, there were just four bonuses awarded in total, hence there were no additional winners as is typically the case after an excellent fight card. Although several fights at UFC 284 were decided by knockout, Yair Rodriguez & Jack Della Maddalena received “Performance of the Night” for their outstanding finishes.
