UFC 277 Full Fight Card Winner And Results

In the main event of UFC 277, Amanda Nunes defeated Julianna Pena in five rounds via unanimous decision to reclaim her bantamweight title and atone for the lone blemish in her recent record. In the first round, the Lioness dismantled Pena with her speed and accuracy on the feet before really putting on a clinic in the second. In Round 2, Nunes scored three knockdowns as Pena charged in erratically and Nunes landed counter right hands on Pena’s jaw.

From there, Nunes sent the fight to the ground in the third round with an elbow from mount that left a sizable gash along Pena’s hairline. As the bout went on, the cut only became worse, leaving Pena covered in blood by the end of the last round. In Round 4, Pena nearly pulled off another surprise.

As Nunes pursued the current champion into a clinch and engaged in a takedown attempt, Pena placed her foot up against the fence and transitioned into an armbar. Despite the move, Nunes was able to break free after struggling mightily to break free of the lengthy submission attempt. Despite few amazing moments for Pena, the judges awarded Nunes the victory with a deserving score of 50-45, 50-44, and 50-43 after five long rounds of nail-biting title fight.
